YouTuber Abe’s Projects has left many viewers shocked with his latest creation, a working PokeDex powered by ChatGPT.

Posted on February 1, 2024, the YouTuber detailed all of the trials and tribulations he went through to design, 3D print, and program the device.
After finishing it all up, he used a few of his personal Pokemon items as well as online pictures to show off how it works.

All you have to do is use the camera to take a picture of the item, and the working PokeDex will identify the Pokemon, show a picture, and even pronounce its name.

Fans of the show quickly took to the comments to share their thoughts about the unique device.
“That was incrediable! Even if the end result had bugs in it, the fact that it actually works when everything is just right means that it can only improve from there,” one user replied.
Another viewer said: “I always wish nintendo kept making the pokedex toys but also added a unique code you can see in the games and merchandise to scan with the pokedex. This though is a whole new level! Sure it’s not perfect but it’s able to scan so much more than a code!”
