Previously, the daily Quest would reward Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers a chunky 50 Rewards points for unlocking an achievement in a title from the Xbox Game Pass library. Now, this daily Quest has been reduced to just five points. Naturally, this hasn’t gone down well with Xbox fans, who are up in arms over the change in both our forums and on social media.
Over the past year or so, Microsoft has made significant reductions to the Rewards program on Xbox. In March, the daily achievement Quest (previously known as Achieve More, Earn More) was made exclusive to just Game Pass subscribers. We then saw Monthly Bonus Round punch cards take a hit, with Microsoft reducing the number of Rewards points they were worth from 2,000 to 1,000 before dropping the punch card entirely.
With the number of cuts and reductions Microsoft has made to Xbox Game Pass Quests, it’s almost no longer worth going out of your way to earn Rewards points on Xbox. The only Quests worth a good chunk of points now are the weekly 250-point Quests and some of the monthlies. You also have the Rewards Weekly Set punch card in the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox and the various tasks on the mobile app, but how long until Microsoft starts cutting those back, too?
