A 25-year-old woman has been mauled by a shark in Sydney Harbour.
Emergency services rushed to Billyard Avenue in Elizabeth Bay at around 7.45pm on Monday to find the woman with a severe bite to her leg and suffering ‘major blood loss’.
A tourniquet was applied to try to stem the bleeding from her leg.
She was airlifted to St Vincent’s hospital by helicopter after being treated by a doctor and remains in a critical condition.
