It was a huge £201m jackpot in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw – and one lucky winner scooped the prize. It is one of the biggest jackpot wins in lottery history.
The huge National Lottery prize makes a lucky ticketholder as rich as Ed Sheeran or Rod Stewart – both of whom have an estimated fortune of £200 million.
The winning sum will now drop back down to £14 million for next week’s draw.
Anyone who matched five numbers plus one star won £130,554.30, while just the main numbers by themselves has a £13,561.20 prize pot. The last biggest-ever jackpot in the UK saw Gloucestershire couple Joe and Jess Thwaite scoop £184m in 2022.
