There are some superstar names in action on the second day of the Wimbledon on Tuesday, as tennis’ top stars battle for glory in the third Grand Slam of the season.
Seven-time champion Novak Djokovic and five-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek headline day two, with 12 British players set to feature at the All England Club.
Top 10 players Alex de Minaur, Hubert Hurkacz, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev will also feature in the men’s draw, while Jessica Pegula, Elena Rybakina and Marketa Vondrousova also kickstart their campaigns.
Top Men’s Match – Vit Kopriva v Dovak Djokovic (2)
Djokovic will begin his search for a record-equalling eighth Wimbledon title on Tuesday when he comes up against world No. 123 Vit Kopriva.
The Serbian surrendered his status as Wimbledon champion last year to Alcaraz as he lost out on a Grand Slam clean sweep, but can match Roger Federer’s title haul if he regains the crown this season.
Djokovic, 37, had a tough start to the season after failing to reach the Australian Open final during his bid for an 11th title and pulling out of the French Open in the last eight due to injury.
He has not played since his Roland-Garros withdrawal but is ready to return to the tournament where he won four consecutive titles from 2018 to 2022.
Top Women’s Match – Iga Swiatek (1) v Sofia Kenin
French Open champion Swiatek, who won her fourth title in Paris this term, is chasing her first success at Wimbledon and she looks to win a sixth Grand Slam crown.
Swiatek has dominated at Roland-Garros in recent years, but her only other major success came at the US Open in 2022. The Polish sensation will surely be relishing the chance to add another Grand Slam to her illustrious haul after only just turning 23 years old.
Her first test at Wimbledon will be against American player Sofia Kenin on Tuesday, who is ranked 48 places below world No. 1 Swiatek.
Swiatek comes into the tournament in relentless form, having wrapped up the French Open following earlier success at the Italian Open and Madrid Open.

Elsewhere, Katie Boulter and Harriet Dart play, who are up against Tatjana Maria and Zhuoxuan Bai in their respective first-round matches.
