Why a private jet has been circling low over Hull today

Hull City’s owner Acun Ilicali arrived into Hull in style this afternoon, ahead of the team’s Boxing Day home game against Sunderland.

Acun’s private jet was spotted circling MKM Stadium at around 1.20pm, before heading towards Humberside Airport. According to Flight Radar, the multi-million dollar Bombardier Global Express XRS was flying as low as 775ft while above the stadium.

Eagle-eyed residents spotted the plane circling above the city and local photographer Bob Carter captured it flying overhead. The jet’s personalised registration ‘TC- ACN’ could even be spotted from the ground.
