Mark Robins has given Coventry City fans a rare and exclusive look behind the scenes of his post-match dressing room talk to his team after Saturday’s incredible FA Cup victory over Premier League Wolves.
The Sky Blues boss allowed the club’s media team to film his after-match speech to his players and staff for the club’s hugely popular ‘Unseen’ videos after the final whistle at Molineux where stoppage time goals from Ellis Simms and Haji Wright secured the club’s fourth trip to Wembley in the last seven years.
“So, outstanding,” he said, addressing his squad, who sat quietly, listening carefully to his every word. “Honestly, every aspect, outstanding. There were just little bits where you go… You get that little bit of confidence in the game and you get on that front foot and you can cause anybody problems with the ability you have got. So take that confidence into the next games.

“Just bear in mind it might be Man City or Liverpool in the next round, so just think… alright, so there’s plenty of work to do. Absolutely outstanding, everyone one of you. Well done.”
The players applauded Robins before first team coach Dennis Lawrence spoke on his last game at the club before hooking up as assistant manager at MLS side Minnesota United.
“If you stick together as a group and support each other you will go as far as you want to go because I work with you on a daily basis and I am telling you something, your attitude, your technical ability, your game understanding, it’s there with the best,” said the former Trinidad and Tobago player and manager.
“But you have just got to stick together as a team. I have said it before and I will say it again, thank you very, very much for what you, the players, have done for me. Forget what I have done for you. It’s about what you have done for me. Thank you to the staff, every single one of you, I really, really appreciate it. I want you to go and enjoy Wembley. I’ll be watching, and I just want to say thanks again and I wish you all the best going forward.”
Robins then added: “One hundred percent it’s a collective. You can’t achieve anything on your own. Adi has been talking all week about following people’s lines and don’t leave people on their own. If you can get that, honestly, you will cause people problems at whatever level you’re playing. Just take all that confidence into the next games. Well done.”
The group then bursts into life as kit man Chris Marsh starts off a euphoric rendition of Sweet Caroline, which they sing routinely after winning big games.
