Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei has revealed her heartbreak after the death of her beloved grandmother.
The TV personality, 34, opened up about the loss on Wednesday in an emotional tribute on Instagram, where she said her ‘heart is breaking’.
Sharing pictures and videos of herself and her grandmother Zarie Joon, Sophie said her life would never be the same without her ‘cuddles’ and ‘hearing her laughter’.
‘My darling nanna Zarie Joon,’ Sophie captioned the post. ‘This week has been the hardest week of my life.
‘We lost an angel, the most strongest beautiful woman I have ever known. Not only was I your granddaughter, I was your daughter.’
Sophie continued: ‘We laughed, we chatted about your life, you watched me grow up, we spent the most amazing memories together.
‘I learnt the language for you nanna, to have those special moments, conversations and chats I will hold on to forever.’
The reality star went on to talk about the things she had learnt from her grandmother that would carry her through life.
‘Your beauty, your glamour, your energy and your warmth are just a few of things I learned from you and will continue to carry in me and one day pass on to my own children,’ Sophie wrote.
‘You will always be a part of me and I will continue to make you proud. You were my inspiration and I will miss you so much.’
Sophie added: ‘My heart is breaking but I’m going to be the strong woman you taught me to be. My life will never be the same without your cuddles and hearing your laughter.
‘My little Zarie Joon please watch over me. You’re now with Bobby joon. Miss you so much.’
Of the loss, Sophie’s boyfriend TOWIE’s Jordan Brook said: ‘What a woman. She will be truly truly missed. She lives on in you my darling girl every single day.’
Her former Geordie Shore co-stars offered their condolences as they replied with their own tributes to Zarie.
Sophie’s cousin and former co-star Marnie Simpson wrote: ‘This is so sad to hear, Zarie was such a beautiful sweet lady, sending you all love and strength, rip N Zarie, hope your ok Sophie.’
‘Nana Zarie,’ Holly Hagan wrote. ‘My heart breaks for you all. I know she was so proud of you and everything you achieved!
‘I loved watching you both chat in Farsi. She lives on through you and your family until you meet again ❤️ love you so much.’
James Tindale wrote: ‘You know I’m here if you ever need ❤️ you’re surrounded by amazing family, a loving partner and friends.
‘Losing someone close is the hardest thing to go through and I know how much you adored and how close you were with Nana Zarie. Cherish all the memories they will never leave you.’
Another former co-star to pay tribute was Nathan Henry, who said: ‘Sending you and your family the most love right now. Incredibly sorry for your loss my darling.
‘And I’m here for you all xxxxx I know how proud she will be of you and the woman you are and continue to become xxxxxxx.’
‘Awwww soph ❤,’ Gary Beadle wrote. ‘She was so funny every time I met her at the restaurant… thinking of you.’
