Tyson Fury today opened up about missing the birth of his seventh baby due to his strict training regime leading up to tomorrow’s bout against Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.
The heavyweight boxing champion, 35, and his wife Paris, 33, welcomed Prince Rico Paris Fury to their ever growing brood last month, but he was unable to be there in hospital for the special moment.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, The Gypsy King said: ‘Daddy’s got to do what daddy’s got to do. Bills have to be paid and things have to be sacrificed.
‘Paris understands that when I’m in camp I can’t be there all night at the hospital. But I got to see him in the early hours of the morning after he was born, so that was fantastic.’
Today Tyson also joked about how his unhealthy diet, saying he was still gouging on McDonald’s, marshmallows, beef burgers and Kit Kats in the lead-up to the bout and was fighting on behalf of ‘all the dad bods and the chubsters’.

Paris previously revealed Tyson had missed the birth, explaining her husband had been at her side, but returned to training because things were ‘going quite slowly’.
In Tyson’s place, the mother-of-seven was joined on the ward by her mother, Lynda.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Paris revealed Tyson’s absence, saying: ‘Usually he’s there by my side, but he had to bail out on because he’s fully immersed in to training at camp. He was there until a few hours before Rico was born.’
Prince Rico Paris Fury was born at 2.29am on September 18, weighing 6lb 13oz.
Discussing the fight on Saturday, Tyson admitted he doesn’t stick to the typical sportsman diet to get into shape.
He joked: ‘Yeah I always eat McDonald’s, marshmallows, beef burgers, Kit Kats the lot.
‘How do you think I maintain this body shape.
‘You don’t think I eat salads and vegetables do you?!’

Speaking about having his love handles proudly on display, he said: ‘I embrace the love handles. It’s what makes me a unique fighter.
‘I represent all the fat people around the world, all the dad bods, the chubsters, I fight for those people tonight.’
Tyson also confessed that he doesn’t expect the fight to be an easy one, despite Ngannou being more skilled in martial arts rather than boxing.
He said: ‘I’m not so sure about easy – have you seen the shape of the guy. he’s a knock out artist. I’m taking this very seriously.’
‘It’s not about what the opponent does it’s about me being the best version of myself. I’ve been prepping for these fights for 35 years.’
