Tippy Dos Santos is getting closer to becoming a lawyer as she graduates from the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law today, Aug. 2.

The singer, known for her song “Dati” with Sam Concepcion and Quest, can be seen donning her “sablay” in her graduation portrait, as shown on her Instagram page yesterday, Aug. 1. Dos Santos will be finishing as a dean’s medalist for academic excellence.

“I vividly remember a moment I had by one of the UP Diliman kiosks, crying while eating Chilimansi pancit canton right after I was told I failed my first ever law school exam. I thought that was the end of my law school journey, but by God’s grace, and with the endless support of people around me, I managed to make it to the finish line,” she said.

“Here we are today, [four] years later and finally free from the fear of the unknown in UP Law. We are finally graduating!”

Dos Santos expressed her gratefulness to her parents John and Happy, sister Jacqueline, and husband Miguel Raphael Porcuna for their support and encouragement throughout her time in law school. She also greeted her friends and block mates, and wished them the best in their respective careers.

Dos Santos then hinted that she is now preparing to review for the bar exams by telling fans, “bar review vlogs coming soon?”.

Among the celebrities who congratulated Dos Santos on her graduation were actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, vlogger Janina Vela, singer-beauty queen Emmanuelle Vera and social media personality Macoy Dubs.
