Jake Cornish left the Love Island All Stars villa less than 24 hours after the show aired, gathering his fellow Islanders around the firepit to tell them.
In a preview for tonight’s episode [17th January], the 26-year-old from Weston-Super-Mare delivered a message to his fellow contestants. “Everyone can we go to the fire pit for a minute,” he said.
“I was here to find love and there is no one here I have that connection with. I just want to let you all know I am going tonight.” Georgia Harrison replied, “We all support you – we love you!”
Jake then pulled ex-girlfriend Liberty Poole for a chat, to say goodbye.
News of Jake’s departure was broken by The Sun yesterday, with a source commenting, “Jake was really shocked to see Liberty in the villa – they had no idea the other person would be there,” the insider said. “It was clear from the start they wouldn’t get back together, then none of the girls wanted to step forward for him.
“Jake had a nice three days in the villa and had a very emotional chat to Maya Jama. Jake couldn’t stay in the villa so he quit the show – it’s not his time and it’s not the right time to find love.”
Love Island All Stars launched on Monday [15th January] and saw a whole host of recognisable faces head into a luxury villa in South Africa for a second stab at finding love.
As well as Jake and Liberty, the likes of Callum Jones and Molly Smith were also in the line up, and Lius Morrison and Hannah Elizabeth from the very first season of the show.
During the first recoupling, the public got to choose who would be paired up, putting Jake and Liberty together once again.
