Tottenham’s transfer window is now up and running with more to arrive in the weeks ahead at Hotspur Way.
Archie Gray’s arrival this week from Leeds United in a £40m package with Joe Rodon heading in the opposite direction means Ange Postecoglou has three new arrivals in pre-season training from this weekend with two 18-year-olds in Gray and Lucas Bergvall, who was signed in February from Djurgarden for £8.5million, as well as a returning attacker in Timo Werner. Spurs struck a deal to bring back the German from RB Leipzig for a year-long loan spell.
The addition of Gray and Bergvall in particular continue the club’s attempts to build a young golden generation of talented players for the present and future to add to the likes of Destiny Udogie, Pape Matar Sarr, Micky van de Ven, Brennan Johnson and Radu Dragusin, as well as academy products like Mikey Moore, Tyrese Hall and Jamie Donley among others.
football.london reported last month that Tottenham have a strong interest in Rennes’ exciting 19-year-old attacking midfielder Desire Doue.
Postecoglou needs more experience though as well to guide those young stars and in the latest episode of their podcast Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham, our Spurs reporters Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discuss who is likely to come through the door next at Hotspur Way as the Spurs boss looks for new signings to join in with pre-season before the club departs on tour to Japan and South Korea.
The duo also discuss plenty more around the club, including departing coaches and the likely loan moves for some of the academy stars.
