The Rolling Stones rocker Keith Richards was inundated with well wishes from his loved ones on his 80th birthday on Monday.
Keith could be seen enjoying some quality time with his famous friends and family as he stood on a sandy beach while on a celebratory holiday in a picture shared on Instagram by his bandmate Ronnie Wood’s wife Sally.
Musician Keith wore a black T-shirt and a pair of striped shorts as he stood alongside his wife Patti Hansen, 67, while the American model and actress held their pet dog.
Film producer Sally, 45, could be seen standing alongside her husband Ronnie, 76, as their twin daughters Gracie Jane and Alice Rose, seven.
The day held double significance for Keith as he also celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary to his wife Patti.
In addition to wishing Keith a happy birthday, Sally also wished Keith and his wife Patti a happy anniversary after they got married on his birthday in 1983.
Sally wrote: ‘Happy days! Happy 40th anniversary @pattihansen & @officialkeef. Happy 80th Keith! #love #goodtimes with @ronniewood.’
Keith marked his 40th wedding anniversary by sharing a photo of him and his wife cutting the cake on their big day.
‘For Patricia, Happy 40th Anniversary! I love you. Keith,’ he wrote alongside the post.
Keith’s bandmate Ronnie marked his birthday milestone by sharing a throwback image.
He captioned the post: ‘Happy birthday Keith! 80 today!’
It came as it emerged the Rolling Stones hired a Tina Turner impersonator as a backing singer for their upcoming Hackney Diamonds tour.
Sir Mick Jagger, 80, Keith and Ronnie have called on Chanel Haynes to take to the stage during their gigs in America.
Chanel is likely to be delighted after she claimed she was sacked from Tina: The Tina Turner Musical in London last year after she jumped at the opportunity to sing Gimme Shelter with the rockers in Italy.
A source told The Sun: ‘The Stones had a very close relationship with Tina and Chanel blew them away when she got up on stage with them.
‘She ended up losing her job on the production because she didn’t want to miss out on the huge opportunity of singing live with The Stones.
‘Chanel has now been booked as one of their backing singers and will be going out on tour with them across America in the spring.
‘It means the world to her and the band were just pleased they could help her out.’
Before performing Gimme Shelter with the Rolling Stones in Milan, Chanel only rehearsed 1969 track once.
After singing to 60,000 of their fans at the city’s San Siro Stadium in June last year, she told Rolling Stone: ‘The sound they made was like trees in a jungle in a storm. It’s primal, like a war.
‘When that hit my body, all of those voices, all of those eyes, were shooting into my body.
‘I had to hold and possess all of that. It was a very surreal experience.’
Chanel announced her departure from the West End musical in which she portrayed Tina Turner weeks later, sharing a note from the production’s manager on social media which said she had been suspended.
Legendary singer Tina was friends with the Rolling Stones before her death in May this year.
She claimed she even taught Sir Mick how to dance, insisting he learned how to Pony from her, with the move being popular in the sixties.
Tina died at the age of 83 ‘peacefully’ at her home in Switzerland in May after battling ‘a long illness’.
Her spokesperson said in a statement at the time: ‘Tina Turner, the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.
‘With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.’
The Rolling Stones sent fans into frenzy after announcing a North America 2024 tour as tickets were finally put on general sale at the start of this month.
The legendary rock band seem to be keeping their word after guitarist Keith Richards said they will keep making music ‘until they drop’.
Last month the band announced a new Hackney Diamonds tour, with the gigs starting on April 28 in Houston, Texas, at the NRG Stadium marking the 60th anniversary of the Stones’ first US tour in 1964.
The band will wrap up on July 17 at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
They will play across 16 cities across U.S. and Canada including Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando, Atlanta, and more.
Due to the overwhelming demand, the band announced additional dates in Los Angeles, Chicago, and East Rutherford – after they released the 24th studio album in October with a huge success.
Hackney Diamonds went straight in at number one – the 11th time the band have achieved this feat.
It was quickly classified as the fifth fastest-selling album of the year and the third most streamed album on Apple Music.
