A street was taped off by police this afternoon after a man was reportedly run over by a reversing car.
The incident happened on Moses Street, Toxteth, directly opposite the Tesco Extra on Park Road. Police cordoned off the street as paramedics treated the man at the scene.
A woman, who did not want to be named, said she went over to help the man after seeing people gathered outside Tesco. She said: “He’s stepped in between the bins and a car has reversed over him. I saw everyone in front of Tesco looking. I was sitting with him, he’s conscious. A few people in the street went over to help”

The ECHO understands the man sustained injuries to his arm and leg been this has not been officially confirmed. It is not yet known if any arrests have been made.
Merseyside Police was approached for comment.
