Stacey Solomon says ‘we don’t know how many Christmas Days we’ll have left’ | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Stacey Solomon got teary-eyed as she posted a sweet message to her grandmother, who recently relocated near to her Essex pad which the Loose Women presenter dubbed Pickle Cottage to be closer to her, husband Joe Swash and their five children; baby Belle, Rose, Rex, and Stacey’s two older sons, Zach and Leighton, from previous relationships.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the 34-year-old told her 5.8 million followers how nice it was to spend Christmas Day with her loved one because “we don’t know how many we have left”.

Stacey, who was joined by her two youngest daughters, began: “Crafty Christmas is back tonight. So excited. I feel a bit emotional actually because I just got loads of pictures back from when we filming.

“One of them is with my grandma who did some crafting with us and got involved this year whic was so special for me because she lived so far away from me for a really long time.

“We’ve always gone up to see her and she’s never been able to come down.”

Stacey went on: “Having her here now, means she can be able to part of the things that she wants to take part in. My grandma loves crafting. She is the OG crafter.”

“So everything I’ve ever learnt has come from my grandma,” she added as the presenter fought back tears.

She explained it was a special privilege being able to ask her grandma to take part in her BBC show.

“I feel so lucky that I got to do that with her. You don’t know how many Christmases you’ll get to have with your grandma,” Stacey remarked. “So it felt really special.”

During the BBC show the mum of five took the opportunity to thank her grandmother, who attended a party at Stacey’s Pickle Cottage in honour of the volunteers who support those in need at a homeless shelter.

Wrapping her arm around her beloved family member, she said: “I just wanted to say thank you for teaching me how to be crafty and how to volunteer.

“I love you grandma.”

She also gifted her grandmother with craft treasures made by her youngest children.

Stacey Solomon’s Crafty Christmas is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
