Police swarmed Dudley streets amid reports of a ‘disorder’. St Peter’s Road in Netherton was closed in both directions following an incident in Chichester Avenue on Sunday evening (June 23).
A photograph from the scene showed at least four police patrol cars present. Medics from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance were also reportedly in attendance.
West Midlands Police said “a number of people” had been arrested following a “disorder”. The force said it would release more details “soon”.

West Midlands Police has said it was investigating a disorder on Chichester Avenue on Sunday night (June 23).
A spokesperson told BirminghamLive that “a number of people have been arrested”.
More details would be “released soon”, the force said.

Nearby residents heard ‘loads of sirens’
Those living near St Peter’s Road reported hearing “loads of sirens” as police and medics arrived at the scene on Sunday evening (June 23).
The road was closed in both directions, with National Express West Midlands forced to divert bus service 7.
West Midlands Police has yet to confirm what happened, but has been approached for comment, along with West Midlands Ambulance Service.
