Simon Cowell interrupted Britain’s Got Talent last night to speak directly to Ant McPartlin.
The live shows kicked off on Monday night and presenter duo Ant and Dec were back as hosts.
As the pair welcomed viewers to the live semi-finals and spoke with the judges, Simon interrupted proceedings to share a message with Ant.

Stopping the show, Simon addressed Ant, saying: “By the way, can I just say congratulations to you Ant.”
The sweet message was met with thunderous applause from the live audience.
Ant replied: “Thank you very much, thank you very much, thank you.”
Simon then added: “I’m so happy for you really.”
Ant then took the opportunity to thank Simon for his “lovely gift”, before addressing the others by saying: “Judges, still waiting on yours.”

The co-host welcomed his first child with wife Anne-Marie Corbett earlier this month.
Announcing the news at the time, he wrote: “Welcome to the family Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am.
“Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!”
