This is the shocking moment a motorcyclist trails a man down the pavement before snatching his phone and speeding off.
CCTV footage, captured in the early hours of Saturday morning on Tower Bridge Road in London, shows banker Peter, 28, inoffensively walking down the street holding his phone.
‘I was heading to a driving exam looking at the map to see where I was going, he told MailOnline’.
In dramatic video, another individual can be seen riding a motorcycle down the pavement, trailing Peter from a distance.
With other pedestrians blocking the path, the motorcyclist stalls briefly on the pavement – watching his target Peter walk ahead of him.
The motorcyclist then suddenly speeds towards the man, reaching out and snatching his phone from him.
‘I just felt something on my shoulder’, Peter explained. ‘Then a hand went straight for my phone and it was just a snatch and grab.’
Footage shows Peter lunging towards the motorcyclist trying to grab his phone, before chasing him down the street.
Peter continued: ‘I started chasing the guy but then he began weaving through traffic and I didn’t want to risk it.
‘I’m just disappointed more than anything, because I know these things happen but I just didn’t know it would happen to me’.
Straight after the incident, Peter reported the crime to the police, who told him that not only was it carried out by a stolen vehicle, but that there have been three other identical reports.
The Met police have been contacted for comment.
This latest incident is just one of many of violent attacks coming out of Britain at the moment.
Last week, a businessman’s £1.5million home was ransacked by machete-wielding raiders who stole his £110,000 Audi and threatened his partner.
Chilling footage shows the three masked thugs wield blades in the brazen morning raid at the home of construction boss Hugh Boyle, 56, and partner Samantha Alley, 43, in Horsforth, West Yorkshire.
Mr Boyle was left with a bloody head and leg injuries after being attacked with a hammer, while terrified Samantha was held at knifepoint in a bedroom by two of the crooks.
Another example of ‘Wild West Britain’ – again in West Yorkshire, this time in Leeds – came when a man casually walked up to a parked car before setting it on fire.
Meanwhile, a van driver has been brutally beaten by five balaclava-clad thugs wielding baseball bats in a ‘targeted attack’ in Bradford.
The latest attack comes just days after footage revealed the shocking moment a young teenager attempted to attack another with a knife in broad daylight – filmed by an Uber driver in Rotherhithe, south-east London.
Last month also saw the release of CCTV imagery showing how a violent gang attacked members of staff during a string of armed robberies across the West Midlands before they were jailed for 54 years.
