Less than 24 hours after a robbery ringleader was finally nailed for the murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky, we catch one of his freed henchmen in a £20,000 Mercedes C-Class.
The gang’s lookout, Faisal Razzaq, served only 11 years of a life sentence for manslaughter – and when he got out in 2017, he boasted to Facebook friends: “Guess who’s back?”
Today, when we went to Razzaq’s London home to ask if he felt any remorse over the killing of PC Beshenivsky, all he said was: “Who told you I live here? Go away.” His luxury car is similar to the one used in the deadly November 2005 raid at Universal Express travel agents in Bradford.

PC Beshenivsky was shot dead at point-blank range after being called to the hold-up. Her colleague PC Teresa Milburn, then 37, was wounded.
Andy Brennan, the detective who led the original hunt for the killers, said: “Police will be dismayed at the news these men are living their lives while so many people are still hurting from what took place. It’s incredibly disappointing that they were released early, considering the disregard they have shown for the police officers and the robbery victims. They have shown little or no remorse.”
On Thursday there was justice at last for the boss of the Universal Express raid gang. Piran Ditta Khan, 75, got life for murdering 38-year-old PC Beshenivsky. Khan, who the gang called “Uncle”, fled to Pakistan two months after the killing. He was eventually arrested by Pakistani police in 2020 and extradited to the UK last April.
In footage released by West Yorkshire police, Khan was shown in custody, saying: “I have not murdered anyone.”
The former takeaway boss, from Ilford, East London, claimed he had sat in a Mercedes SLK eating sandwiches as the robbery took place. He also denied knowing that weapons, including a submachine gun, were going to be used.
