Three schoolboys were reportedly ‘forced to eat their KFC food outside on the floor.’
Natalie Jones said her nephews Jaden Walsh, 11, Jordie Banes, 11, and Haden O’Connor, 10, went to the KFC on Irlam Drive, Hall Lane in Kirkby last weekend. However, after ordering and paying for their food, Natalie alleged they were told by staff that children were not allowed to eat food inside the restaurant.
Speaking to the ECHO, Natalie, 43, said: “They just refused them to sit inside. The kids had to go outside and eat the food on their floor.”

Natalie added there was “nothing in the shop, nothing in black and white explaining the policy”.
Natalie said there had been claims the children were abusive towards staff, a claim she strongly refutes. She said: “We understand there will be nuisance kids. But these are the most innocent kids you’ll meet.
“I live across the road from there. We’ve let them have a bit of independence.
“I understand there are kids there who break rules. But our kids are the most well mannered you’ll meet. They should be given their chance. If they’re not given the chance, what message does that send to them?”
“If there’s a written policy in the shop [about children eating inside] or their orders are refused, that’s fine. But this is wrong on so many levels.”
Natalie posted about the incident on Facebook last weekend. She shared screenshots of comments left from locals unaware of the situation, who claimed they had seen the children being “well behaved” while eating their food outside.
Natalie said Jaden, Jordie and Haden have been “discriminated against because of their age” and have been left “traumatised” after the incident.
A spokesperson for the KFC Head Office told the ECHO that “the team are still looking into this particular incident” and has promised a further update on the matter soon.
