Report: Totteham Hotspur are owed millions of pounds by club partner – The Spurs Web

Tottenham Hotspur ended their Premier League campaign on a high this evening having beaten Sheffield United 3-0.

Just like in every other training and pre-game warm-up over the past three years, the Tottenham players just like Cristian Romero in the below photo sported the Getir logo on their training range of clothing.

In August 2021, Tottenham announced a partnership with the grocery delivery company to become the first ever sponsor of the club’s training shirts.

Sky News have now revealed that Getir still owe Tottenham millions of pounds with the agreement having come to an conclusion at the end of the Premier League season earlier today.

The report claims that the Turkish-based company owe the North Londoners close to £5million and it is allegedly unclear whether they have the means to settle its financial obligations to the club.

Getir announced last month that it will be leaving the UK, Europe and the US (BBC) to focus on its core market in Turkey where it generates the bulk of its revenue and brought to an end the company’s rapid expansion across Europe, which saw almost 23,000 jobs created in the region over three years.

CityAM reported earlier this week that the firm has allegedly left some of its UK suppliers where a Complete Assets spokesperson said they were aware of £500,000 of unpaid bills among at least four other suppliers.

It remains to be seen whether the brand will be present when the players and staff prepare ahead of Wednesday’s post-season friendly against Newcastle United in Australia.

Getir and Tottenham Hotspur both declined to comment when approached by Sky News.
