A road closure was put in place due to an unsafe building in Nottingham. Woodborough Road in Mapperley, was closed in both directions on Monday (December 4).
The closure between Private Road and Mapperley Rise was put in place at 5.30pm. Nottingham City Transport buses were diverted as a result of the closure.
The NCT Sky Blue 45-47 were diverted and stops between Huntingdon Street and Mapperley Shops were not served. Slow traffic was also reported in the area due to the closure.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: “Woodborough Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to unsafe building between Private Road and Mapperley Rise. The road was closed at around 17:30. Diversion – for bus services Sky Blue 45 and 47..”
In a tweet, Nottingham City Transport said: “Due to incident on Woodborough Road, Sky Blue 45-47 are diverting in both directions via Mansfield Road & Woodthorpe Drive. All stops between Huntingdon Street & Mapperley Shops cannot served until further notice.”
Shortly after 7pm, Inrix reported that the road opened in both directions. Inrix said: “Woodborough Road in both directions re-opened, traffic returned to normal, an unsafe building earlier between Private Road and Mapperley Rise.
“The road was closed at around 17:30 but has now reopened. Diversion – for bus services Sky Blue 45 and 47.”
In an update from NCT, at around 7.30pm, they announced the buses were diverting via Shelton Street and St Ann’s Well Road. They added: “Update: Buses are now diverting via Shelton Street and St Ann’s Well Road in both directions.
“Stops between Shelton Street and Mapperley Rise cannot be served until further notice.”

Update from NCT bus service
Nottingham City Transport have updated its diversion routes. to the buses affected by the incident. The NCT Sky Blue 45 and 47 are now Shelton Street and St Ann’s Well Road in both directions.
