Southern Vipers will play Central Sparks in their semi-final at Loughborough in the 2nd XI T20 competition

Southern Vipers 2nd XI have qualified for T20 Finals Day at Loughborough on Friday 28th June having won three of their five completed matches, with one no result.
Emily Windsor has led the side with fellow senior players Ella McCaughan, Nancy Harman, Alice Monaghan, Mary Taylor, and Finty Trussler all taking part, along with various players from the Academy and Elite Performance Programmes.
Captain Windsor has scored 180 runs, with two half-centuries, whilst Mary Taylor and Nancy Harman are level on wickets with eight apiece.
There were fifties also for Alice Monaghan (76* v Western Storm), Mary Taylor (82 v Western Storm), and Ella McCaughan (51 v South East Stars).
The tournament comprised of a South Group and a North Group, with the Vipers finishing 2nd so will therefore play Central Sparks who finished 1st in the North Group.
In the other semi-final, Sunrisers face The Blaze, with the winners playing in the final on the Haslegrave Ground at 3pm.
In two T20 friendlies against Central Sparks, the Vipers won one and lost one, with Ella McCaughan scoring a magnificent 103 from 56 balls, with Emily Windsor also making 50, in the Vipers’ 31-run victory.
This competition has been a great opportunity for players across our whole pathway to experience competitive cricket in a senior environment. For them to be involved in the Finals Day at Loughborough will only add value to their development
