Emily Andre has revealed she worries her children will be bullied in schools as she has decided not to give them mobile phones yet.
The NHS medic, 34, who is pregnant with her third child, is mother to Millie, 10, and Theo, seven, with her husband Peter Andre, 50, and told how many of the children in Millie’s class already have phones.
Speaking to new! magazine, Emily admitted she is torn as she doesn’t want her children exposed to cyberbullying by getting them smartphones.
She said: ‘It’s a difficult one because Theo and Millie are young enough that I’ve not had to deal with it yet. But Millie will be in year six next year and a lot of kids in her class have phones already – she doesn’t.
‘I’m concerned it might get to the stage where bullying might occur if you don’t have one, even though there’s the worry of cyberbullying when kids get a phone or social media. I’m stick between wanting to protect them but not excluding them.’
Emily, who chooses to keep her children’s faces off social media, said Millie looks up to her half-sister Princess, who Peter shares with his ex-wife Katie Price.
She said: ‘[Millie] just loves having a big sister. Princess is able to say, “I remember going through that when I was your age,” and explains how she tackled things.’
Emily and Peter are currently ‘moving bedrooms around’ in order to make room for their third child who is due in spring.
Emily and Peter revealed the happy news on their Instagram pages earlier this month, posting ultrasound photos as they gushed about the ‘new addition to our family in 2024’.
‘We are delighted to share the news with you all. A new addition to our family in 2024 The kids are so excited. So are we,’ the couple wrote, with their celebrity pals flooding their comments with well wishes.
In July Peter hinted at his future family plans during a candid chat on Vicky Pattison The Secret To podcast.
‘Children… I was like, when I get to 50 I’m done and then I find myself having conversations with [Emily] going, “Yeah you know, if we did have another child, where would we put Junior?”‘.
He went on: ‘I can’t even believe we have those conversations and that makes me think that I just don’t know, it’s just one of those things. It’s just weird that we even have those conversations, so I don’t know’.
Before adding: ‘Listen, us guys can wishful think all we like, right, but it’s going to be up to her’.
Back in 2021 Peter was on a different page, telling ITV show Loose Women: ‘I always said to Emily, you might want more kids, but don’t forget our kids will grow older and maybe one of them will bring us children.’
Peter admitted that his eldest child Junior at the time was also skeptical when it comes to having more siblings, as there would be at least a 16-year age gap between the teenager and a new little brother or sister.
Peter explained: ‘I understand what he meant about the age gap, but I said to him there’d be 16 years between [him and a] new child.’
He continued: ‘I said to him, my brother Andrew – who has sadly passed – and I were 16 years [apart]. He was my best friend. My other brothers know this, but he was my favourite brother. I looked up to him. I don’t really think it matters.’
Peter and Emily married in a lavish ceremony at Mamhead House in Exeter in 2015.
They met in 2010 through Emily’s surgeon father Ruaraidh MacDonagh.
He was Peter’s consultant during surgery for kidney stones in 2010 and, knowing she was a fan of his music, introduced her to him.
The pair developed a friendship but did not begin dating until summer 2012.
