Pro-Palestine protesters are blocking the road in Leicester outside a factory.
The group, Palestine Action are preventing workers from accessing Elbit Systems at Meridian Business Park.
In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, the group said: “Palestine Action lock-on to lock-out the workforce and block both sides of the road leading to Leicester’s Israeli weapons factory #ShutElbitDown.
“Join us at Meridian East, Meridian Business Park, Leicester, LE19 — Together, we will #ShutElbitDown!”

In the video, the protesters can he heard saying: “Shut Elbit Down”.
A spokesperson from Leicestershire Police have now confirmed a 24-year-old man and 23-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of offences under the Public Order Act.
They both remain in custody.
Officers have now confirmed one of the entrances to the site has since reopened.

The incident was reported shortly after 7am and police were told some people had locked themselves on to vehicles.
Assistant Chief Constable Adam Slonecki said: “We support the right to protest peacefully but will take immediate action against those who are seeking to commit crime and damage property.
“Officers will remain in the area for the foreseeable future and we will provide further updates as and when appropriate.”
Elbit has been approached for a comment.

The group claim the factory supplies UAV Tactical Systems (U-TacS) weapons to Israel.
Elbit has denied this claim. However, the factory has been a hotspot for protests from the group.
The group has previously targeted the offices of French weapons maker Thales in London and the Leonardo UK site in Southampton.
The group also targeted One Eagle Place in Piccadilly.
