Season 9 of Overwatch 2 is here and less than a day into the new patch, players are already taking a break from Blizzard’s hero shooter over the new projectile sizes.

The February 13 Overwatch 2 patch was one of the biggest updates the game has ever seen with huge health buffs across the board, revamped projectile sizes, a new DPS passive and ranked system.

So far, though, the highly-anticipated season is having some challenges as players have begun trying out the updates only to be shocked by how inaccurate shots still manage to hit enemies.

Overwatch 2 players say Season 9 removed “skill”

In a series of posts spreading across social media, players and streamers voiced their immediate frustration with Overwatch 2’s latest batch of changes even after originally being worried the game was becoming too easy.

“I’m out,” wrote Twitch streamer Metro after posting a clip of Sojourn damaging a Soldier 76 while not even having the crosshair on the enemy.

In another clip labeled “absurd,” a player showed how big Junkrat’s projectiles are and like and how they can connect despite missing in other versions of OW2.

A similar post was shared to Reddit showing how Hanzo’s arrows can be off the mark completely, yet still one-shot Tracer with a headshot.

“I’m 110% convinced the devs are designing the game to be played while drunk,” a player replied.

“They’re making the game mobile friendly,” someone else theory crafted.

“The new season is horrible I am waiting to play till next week,” another user chimed in.

Luckily, the developers have insisted that they’ll be ready with some quick patches in response to any Season 9 hiccups, so we’ll have to see how they end up adjusting to these concerns in the days ahead.
