Overwatch 2 Season 9 promises sweeping changes to every hero’s projectile and hitscan hitboxes, making them much easier to land on targets. Players are concerned that these changes may end up making shots way too easy to hit, lowering the game’s skill ceiling substantially.

However, changes to the size of both projectile and hitscan heroes’ attacks will make it much easier for everyone to land shots. Combined with the brand-new anti-heal passive on DPS heroes, there’s some concern that DPS characters will just roll over entire teams.

“The fact that this change wasn’t tested on a PTE or experimental playlist is criminal. This sh*t is going to be insanely broken and with the reduced healing passive tanks are going to be useless and get melted.” replied one user.
“This change will make aiming scarily easy,” claimed another.
This sentiment is reflected across the entire Overwatch community. While some are excited that big changes are coming, others feel as if they may exacerbate the current problems with Overwatch 2.

With such a large list of drastic changes, it comes as no surprise that players are cautious about just how well these switch ups will go over.
