Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry has announced she is expecting twins with her boyfriend Elijah Scott.
The MTV star, who rose to fame after appearing on the MTV series 16 and Pregnant, announced on Friday that she is pregnant with baby number six and seven as she adds to her growing brood.
Speaking on her podcast Barely Famous, the 31-year-old was joined by TikTok star Allison Kuch.
Allison is expecting her first child with her husband NFL star Isaac Rochell, prompting Kailyn to announce her exciting baby news.
Kailyn hadn’t known she was pregnant on her recent holiday to Thailand as she explained: ‘I must have got pregnant right before I left and I had no idea.’
‘So when I got there, I was eating everything. My face was flushed, but I didn’t think anything of it because I was like, there’s no way. There’s no way I am,’ she recalled.
Later in the podcast, the two women discussed the process of tracking your ovulation as Allison revealed that is how she knows the exact date she conceived.
Meanwhile Kailyn confessed: ‘Well, to be fair, I mean, this is my… sixth pregnancy, like six and seven for me.’
‘And I’ve gotten pregnant when I’m not actually… like I’ve tracked my ovulation and I’ve gotten pregnant on days that were not my ovulation window.’
Kailyn shares sons Isaac, 13, with ex Jo Rivera, Lincoln, 9, with ex Javi Marroquin, Creed, 3, and Lux, 6, with ex Chris Lopez, and Rio, 11-months with her current boyfriend Elijah.
Back in July, the podcast host confirmed that she’d quietly welcomed her fifth baby after rumours had been stirring throughout the last several months.
She shared the happy news on an episode of her Baby Mamas No Drama podcast when she was interviewing Aurora Culpo from The Culpo Sisters.
The Sun first broke the news in February of this year.
‘Kailyn gave birth to a baby boy on November 20 with Elijah. She has only told close family and friends,’ a source close to Lowry said to the outlet.
After an 11-year stint on the MTV show, she later told People: ‘I wanted to be able to tell my own story on my own terms and kind of share what information I wanted to share instead of being within a contractual obligation or storyline.’
Yet she admitted she didn’t feel completely ready to share her private family news
‘I feel like it was ripped out from under me time and time again. I kind of feel like my hands are tied. People are announcing it for me and so, at this point, I might as well just talk about it.’
‘At this point, I can at least try to do it my way,’ she continued.
