Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s rarely seen kids made their red carpet debut on Tuesday, as they supported their mom at the premiere of her film Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead in Los Angeles.
The Simple Life star, 42, and the Good Charlotte rocker, 45, were joined by daughter Harlow, 16, and son Sparrow, 14, at the event, which took place at The Grove.
Sofia Richie’s older sister wowed as she stood next to her teenagers in a chic black mini dress with a chunky gold neckline.
The evening was a family affair for the stars, who were also accompanied by Nicole’s father, music legend Lionel Richie, 74.
The family reunion also brought together Lionel’s girlfriend Lisa Parigi and ex-wife Brenda Harvey-Richie. Lionel and Brenda — whom he was married to from 1975 to 1993 — adopted Nicole when she was just nine years old in 1990.
Nicole and Joel tied the knot on December 11, 2010. They welcomed Harlow two years prior, on January 11, 2008. Meanwhile Sparrow was born on September 9, 2009.
Paris Hilton’s pal wore her blonde tresses slicked down in a chic bun for the occasion, and accessorized with sparkly earrings.
She accentuated her stunning features with smokey eyeshadow and added height to her outfit with black pointed-toe heels.
Meanwhile Joel sported his signature casual style, wearing a black t-shirt, matching pants, baseball hat, and sneakers.
Harlow was her mom’s mini-me in a black bustier top, metallic black bell bottom pants and sneakers. Her golden tresses were parted in the middle and styled straight for the evening.
Sparrow channeled his dad in a casual black t-shirt, jeans and Vans sneakers.
Nicole happily posed with her family, including her dad, who looked handsome as always in a black jacket, matching pants, and a white t-shirt underneath.
Lionel paired his outfit with white sneakers.
His girlfriend Lisa opted for a chic look, wearing a black blazer, matching leggings and high heels as she posed with Lionel. She added a pop of color to her outfit with her bright red lipstick.
Brenda also opted for an all-black outfit, which was cinched in with a belt.
In 1996, following his divorce from Brenda, Lionel tied the knot with stylist Diane Alexander, and had two children – Miles, 28, and Sofia, 24 – before divorcing in 2004.
Currently, Lionel has been with longtime girlfriend model Lisa since 2014.
Vella Lovell, 38, was also in attendance at Tuesday’s premiere, and looked stunning in a tight black dress with cut-outs.
Joanna Cassidy, 78, who played the original role of Rose in the 1991 movie, was the epitome of elegance in a fringe black gown
Lizet Upia turned heads in a sizzling orange gown with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high leg slit.
Simone Joy Jones, 25, dazzled in a sultry blue velvet gown that highlighted her ample cleavage and featured a saucy slit.
Cuban actress and singer María Conchita Alonso, 66, looked stylish in a grey and white ensemble.
Psalms Wimbrey and Hannah Joel Wimbrey sparkled in stylish gold outfits.
Gus Kenworthy, 32, cut a handsome figure in a black shirt, which he left halfway undone to reveal his muscular torso, and a pair of matching pants.
Josh Archer, 37, sported a grey blazer over a white t-shirt and grey jeans.
Meanwhile Marvin Neil looked dashing in a blue jacket and jeans.
Richie recently described her return to the big screen for the the first time in nearly two decades as a ‘dream come true’ after landing a role in a remake of Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead.
‘I’ve been a Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead fan since day one; having the opportunity to play Rose is a dream come true,’ she told Entertainment Weekly.
Richie ended up taking the part from Tyra Banks ‘due to a change in the production schedule’ that no longer aligned with ‘Tyra’s schedule,’ a source told ET.
She was prominently featured in the movie’s latest trailer, released on Tuesday, while June Squibb, 94, provided comedic relief as the eponymous babysitter.
Like the original — which starred a young Christina Applegate — the new version of Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead follows the antics of a 17-year-old who’s forced to become the primary caregiver for her younger siblings after the elderly babysitter their mother hired kicks the bucket unexpectedly while she’s away on a wellness retreat in Thailand.
The original film earned $25 million against a $10 million budget, but was greeted to mostly negative reviews.
However, it became a cult film and continued to be a popular film on home video and in video rental shops.
Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter Is Dead debuts exclusively in cinemas on April 12.
