Manchester United fixtures are coming thick and fast with another matchday upon us today.
After defeating Chelsea in a confidence-boosting result in midweek, the Reds return to Old Trafford on Saturday as they welcome AFC Bournemouth. The Cherries have been in fine form recently and are unbeaten since their last visit to Manchester at the beginning of November.
Such form will be cause enough for Erik ten Hag to treat their opponents with respect but he will know a victory will take his side level on points with fourth-place Manchester City. United have one new injury concern heading into the fixture as Marcus Rashford dropped out of training on Friday due to illness.
United have confirmed the winger is now a doubt for the Reds. However, good news is plentiful for recent absentees Raphael Varane and Amad who both returned to training this week. Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia remain long-term absentees.
Take a look at all the latest Manchester United news, views and analysis below.

Erik ten Hag on player contracts
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial and Hannibal Mejbri are technically approaching the final six months of their contracts but United have the option of an additional year on each deal.
Realistically, United would have to trigger the extensions before the end of this month to prevent any of the players from reaching a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club and depriving United of a fee, should they intend to sell any of the players.
“Absolutely, it is in our mindset,” Ten Hag said of the contract situations. “We are discussing things and when we have news we will bring it.”

Sancho ‘makes U-turn’ over United future
Jadon Sancho’s ultimate private wish is to start afresh at Manchester United, according to Sky Germany.
The report makes the extraordinary claim about the exiled star after Erik ten Hag refused to categorically close the door on his return to the first team.
Sancho is yet to apologise to Ten Hag for publicly accusing him of lying, despite encouragement from teammates. He has not played since August as a result.
The report claims that the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe could change Sancho’s destiny at United, depending on how the INEOS chief views the situation.
It adds that Sancho would be open to a return to Borussia Dortmund if the club could afford it, although his secret wish is to turn over a new leaf at Old Trafford.

ANALYSIS: Why Paul Mitchell is ‘perfect’ fit for United
Paul Mitchell has long been labelled ‘The Man who could save Manchester United’.
His is a name that often pops up whenever there is talk of a structural overhaul or on the frequent occasions that United’s lack of a long-term plan is made all too apparent.
Right now, he could be closer than ever to an Old Trafford move. A proud Mancunian, he is living back in the North West after nearly three years in Monaco and could be the perfect candidate to help implement Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s vision for the club.

What Garnacho has to do to become even better for United
Erik ten Hag believes Alejandro Garnacho’s development at United is going according to plan after another fine performance in the midweek victory over Chelsea.
Garnacho, 19, started for the eighth match running against Chelsea on Wednesday night and provided the cross for Scott McTominay to score the winning goal in the second half.
Since Marcus Rashford was rested for the League Cup ejection by Newcastle on November 1, Garnacho has started every game in Rashford’s favoured role on the left-hand side.

Erik ten Hag claims he protected United culture with Sancho decision
Erik ten Hag insists Jadon Sancho’s behaviour fell below the cultural standards at United as his exile continues.
Sancho has been training away from the first team for three months after he publicly accused Ten Hag of lying over his omission from the squad for the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on September 3.
Ten Hag said Sancho’s training form had resulted in his omission but, in a Twitter post, Sancho urged followers “please don’t believe everything you read” and that he was being “scapegoated”.

Fast forward to today and the mood is good inside the club after a much-needed victory over Chelsea in midweek.
This week is another big one for United with a do or die clash with Bayern Munich followed by a trip to Anfield so a victory over the Cherries will be vital for confidence.
