A man suffered a slash wound during an attack near a pub in Stapleford. The attack, near the Man of Iron pub in Pasture Lane, was reported to police at 11.11pm on November 23.
The victim, who was hurt on the shoulder, was looked after by members of the public who wrapped his wound with clothes and used a belt as a tourniquet. Fortunately, the wound was only superficial and he was discharged after being taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the attack and are appealing for the public’s help in tracking down the individual responsible. Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are treating this incident seriously and a team of detectives is working hard to locate the person responsible for this attack.
“I would urge anyone who saw what happened or who may have any other information which could help us with our inquiries, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to please come forward and to speak to us. Similarly, we’d like to hear from anyone who may have recorded dashcam, CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage which may assist us with our ongoing inquiries.”
