A man has been arrested after a house was blasted with gunshots while a ‘mum and her kids’ were inside.
A gunman opened fire outside the property in Jane Street in Weaste, Salford, at about 9pm on Sunday (June 30). Police say people living in the area reported hearing three gunshots ring out.
The shooting was captured on doorbell footage that shows a white SUV pull up outside a house. Piercing gun shots can be heard in the clip and bullets appear to hit the front wall of the property, narrowly missing the windows and doors, before the car drives off.

Shocked neighbours on the street told the Manchester Evening News today (Tuesday) that a woman was in the house with her children when the shots were fired.
One man said: “I think she was alone in the house with the kids. “Someone just pulled up on the street, let shots off and drove off. Everyone came out and the car was gone nowhere to be seen,” he added.
No injuries were reported. Police patrols were stepped up in response to the shooting. Detectives are continuing to hunt for a white SUV vehicle.
A 25-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm. He remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Justin Bryant of GMP’s Salford crime investigation department, said: “Whilst our investigation is in the early stages, I hope this arrest shows the community that we are taking swift action to protect them, and tackle firearms enabled criminality.
“I would like to thank those who have already come forward and shared information with us, and I would urge anyone who has not yet spoken to us directly, please get in touch. Please don’t assume what you know is already known to us. The smallest piece of information, CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage could be crucial to our investigation.
“We are continuing our appeal to anyone who may have seen a white SUV type vehicle in the area over the last few days, which perhaps seemed out of place. At this stage, we believe this vehicle to be crucial to our investigation.
“Additional officers remain in the area, they are there to support you, and I would urge you to speak to them if you haven’t already.
