A man has been arrested after crashing during a police chase in Fazakerley.
Officers requested a Ford Transit van pull over but the driver failed to stop and a police pursuit was started on Wednesday, January 17. The van then crashed with a Ford Fusion on Longmoor Lane, at around 8.30pm.
A woman was injured in incident and damage was also caused to a police car. A man was arrested close to the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving, disqualified driving, failing to stop when required, using a vehicle without insurance and criminal damage to a police vehicle.

A Merseyside police spokesperson said: “We have arrested a 42-year-old man following a road traffic collision in the Fazakerley area last night, Wednesday 17th January.
“A Ford Transit van, which was being pursued after failing to stop when requested by a police patrol, was in collision with a Ford Fusion on Longmoor Lane. A female suffered minor injuries.
“Damage was also caused to a police vehicle. A man was arrested close to the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving, disqualified driving, failing to stop when required, using a vehicle without insurance and criminal damage to a police vehicle. He is currently in police custody.”
