Macaulay Culkin was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in celebration of his big day, he shone a spotlight on his fiancée Brenda Song in an emotional speech.
To commemorate the “Home Alone” famed actor’s 40-year career, Culkin—who was joined by Song and their two sons—received the 2,765th five-pointed terrazzo-and-brass star on Hollywood Boulevard on Friday afternoon.
Culkin gave a heartfelt speech in which he thanked several of his friends and family members. He got especially emotional when he paid tribute to the mother of his children, who wiped away tears as she listened.
“I’d like to thank Brenda. You are absolutely everything. You’re my champion,” he said. “You’re the only person happier for me today than I am. You’re not only the best woman I’ve ever known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known. You’ve given me just all my purpose. You’ve given me family.”
He concluded his sweet sentiment on a comedic note, reciting his iconic quote, “In the spirit of the holiday season, I just want to say, Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.”
Catherine O’Hara, who played Culkin’s on-screen mom Kate McAllister, was also present at the induction. “Families all over the world can’t let a year go by without watching and loving Home Alone together. It’s because of Macaulay Culkin,” O’Hara proudly said of her movie son.
The man of the hour looked dapper in a black double-breasted suit jacket over a smart white button down, black trousers, and matching dress shoes. He accessorized with a couple gold rings and gelled his hair into a spiky hairdo.
Song coordinated with Culkin in a black trench coat with decorative gold buttons over a sheer white top that featured frilly detailing down the center and on the collar, which she paired with black trousers and matching pointed-toe boots. For jewelry, she wore small hoop earrings and her gorgeous sparkly engagement ring on her freshly red-manicured hand. Song’s caramel locks cascaded down her shoulders in soft waves.
The couple’s kids looked cool and stylish for their rare public appearance. Their eldest son Dakota donned a blue suit with black combat boots and brought some personality to the look by styling his hair in a mohawk. Their seven-month-old baby boy looked cozy in blue corduroy pants, a white knit sweater, a black-and-white zigzag-patterned vest, and white Gucci sneakers.
