Maya Jama made a cheeky joke about getting back together with her boyfriend Stormzy during the Love Island All Stars final on Monday night.
The presenter, 29, was interviewing the final two couples Callum Jones and Jess Gale and Molly Smith and Tom Clare when she made the comment.
During the chat she fuelled exes Molly and Callum’s reconciliation by saying: ‘I had a lot of people saying I should get back with my ex!’
Maya and Stormzy reconciled in summer 2023 after splitting in 2019 and were then seen on a romantic Greek holiday in August.
The crowds cheered as she made the comment about the rapper, 30, who was in the audience to support her after jetting over to South Africa.
Fans went wild that Maya seemed to ship exes Molly and Callum getting back together which has been a strong sentiment from the public during the whole series.
Maya even told Molly that it was actually Callum who suggested Tom should put a stuffed dog in her Valentine’s gift because she missed her dog at home.
One viewer wrote in reaction to the moment: ‘Maya Jama fully compared her and Stormzy to Molly and Callum.
‘The public wants you back together, and eventually, it will happen. It may take some time. Remember, Maya was engaged before she and Stormzy got back together, but eventually… they will rekindle. #loveisland.’
Another said: ‘Maya Jama saying she was annoyed when people wanted her back with her ex meanwhile they’re back together & he’s sat in the audience #loveisland.’
A third said: ‘Maya jama wanting the callum and molly train to happen mentioning stormzy #LoveIsland.’
A fourth said: ‘SNAP….Maya Jama referring to her relationship with Stormzy #LoveIsland.’
Molly and Tom were crowned the winners of Love Island: All Stars.
The pair’s victory was revealed during Monday’s live final, with the blonde beauty beating out her ex Callum and his new partner Jess.
After being declared the winners, Tom told host Maya Jama ‘my mind’s blown’, while Molly was visibly shaking as she shouted ‘what the hell’.
Speaking ahead of the final result, Molly admitted the Love Island experience has ‘forced’ her to be friends with her ex Callum.
She also said she was ‘grateful’ they’ve had the chance to gain closure on things, but insisted that there would be no ‘fairytale ending’ for them both.
After splitting in September 2020, Molly and Callum were stunned to be reunited in the All Stars villa in a launch night twist, but have both opted against exploring the prospect of rekindling their romance.
Viewers had hoped the couple would get back together having entered the villa last month after splitting following a three-and-a-half year relationship in September last year.
But the grand final saw Molly paired with Tom, while Callum was coupled up with Jess dashing any hopes of a last minute reunion.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: ‘Callum and Molly in the final 2 but in the wrong couples’
While a second said: ‘Callum and Molly in the final 2 but not together is maddd’.
Another bemoaned ‘ Molly and Callum fans we’ve tried so hard’.
And: ‘No one wants Tom or Jess to win, just Callum and Molly’.
Someone else said: ‘We all wanted Callum AND MOLLY to win but turns out it be Callum OR Molly winning’.
