Liverpool area without water all day as United Utilities tackle leak

People living in an area of Liverpool have been without water all day due to a leak.

United Utilities is tackling a leak on Utting Avenue in Walton, which has meant that certain people living in the L4 postcode have no water or poor water pressure. The water company confirmed at 9am today that it was dealing with the issue, but it has not yet been resolved.

Just before 1pm, it said that repairs on Utting Avenue were underway. However in its most recent update, United Utilities said that repairs to the network could take longer than first thought.

“Repairs to our network can be harder to fix than we first thought, and take longer than we hoped to complete. We’re working as quickly as we can to get your taps flowing again. Thanks for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience.

“We’ll provide you with an update once we have one from the team onsite.”
