An investigation is underway after a stabbing at a block of flats in Whalley Range.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Withington Road at around 8pm last night (Sunday) after reports of a stabbing. A man was rushed to hospital, the Manchester Evening News understands.
Last night, crime scene investigators scoured the area for evidence. Police officers cordoned off the entrance to the block of flats, with witnesses describing how they had seen blood on the floor in the entrance to the building.

In a statement issued late last night, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At approximately 8pm this evening (5 May 2024), police were called to reports of a stabbing on Withington Road in Manchester. A scene is currently in place to assist officers with their enquiries.”
The force is expected to provide a further update this morning.
