A section of Toxteth was cordoned off today as police and paramedics descended on Upper Warwick Street.
An ambulance was seen leaving the street shortly after 2pm today where residents reported hearing “loads of screaming and shouting”. Armed police were also spotted at the scene with one officer describing the incident as “serious”.

Knifeman hunted as three people seriously injured in targeted attack
A knifeman is being hunted after three people were injured in a targeted attack.
Police were called to Upper Warwick Street, Toxteth around 1pm today, Sunday December 10, to reports three people had been attacked with a knife. Two men and a woman, all aged in their 30s, suffered stab and slash wounds in the incident which happened inside a property.
The suspect is said to be known the victims. An air ambulance landed at the scene and all three people, who received serious injuries, are currently being treated in hospital.
