An air ambulance has landed after two people were hit by a car in Wirral this afternoon.
Police, paramedics and the fire service are on Village Road in Lower Heswall this Sunday after a car crashed into two pedestrians and two stationary vehicles. Merseyside Police confirmed they were called at around 1.30pm to reports of a crash involving one vehicle.
Two people are reported to be injured, but the nature of their injuries is yet to be confirmed.

Full statement from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement: “Crews were called to a Road Traffic Collision today on Village Road, Heswall.
“Crews were alerted at 1.31pm and on scene at 1.35pm with two fire engines and the search and rescue team in attendance.
“Crews arrived to find a car had collided with two pedestrians and two stationary vehicles with no occupants. North West Ambulance Service and air ambulance were in attendance with one pedestrian taken by air ambulance to hospital and the other by NWAS by road.
“Crews removed the roof of the vehicle to access the occupant of the vehicle who was then assisted from the vehicle by paramedics for further treatment and onward journey to hospital.
“Merseyside Police were on scene supporting colleagues with cordons and traffic management. Fire crews left the scene at 2.48pm.”

Pedestrian airlifted to hospital
Two pedestrians were hit by a car in Heswall this afternoon.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed one person was airlifted to hospital, while the other was taken to hospital by road ambulance. Crews arrived to find a car had crashed into two pedestrians and two stationary vehicles with no occupants.
The fire service helped to remove the roof of the vehicle to access the occupant inside who was then taken to hospital for further treatment by paramedics.
