Live: Serious incident and police cordon near McDonald’s in Bristol

A police cordon is in place following a stabbing in Concorde Street, near Cabot Circus, in Bristol, this evening, Thursday, June 27. Photos taken at the scene show police tape outside the Charity Supermarket, near McDonald’s on The Horsefair. We will be bringing you updates in live blog posts below as we receive more information.

Police vehicles and ambulances have also been at the scene. The assailant remains at large this evening and a search is under way for the offender who wielded the knife.




Avon and Somerset Police have issued a statement. It reads: “Police are investigating after a teenage boy was stabbed in Bristol earlier this evening, Thursday 27 June. The 999 call came in at about 7.40pm, just after the attack which happened near the junction of The Horsefair, Hanover Court and Concorde Street.


“Officers attended immediately. The suspect was reported to have been part of a small group of young people who fled after the assault.

“The boy went to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening. He is believed to be under 16 and his next of kin are aware. Uniformed officers are searching for the suspect. If you saw what happened or have any footage or information which could help please call 101 quoting reference 5224167149.”

Police search for suspect

Police are searching for a knife attacker after a teenage boy was stabbed in Bristol city centre. Police officers were called to the scene at Cabot Circus at around 7.40pm today, Thursday, June 27, shortly after the attack took place.

A cordon is in place near McDonald’s on the junction of The Horsefair, Hanover Court and Concorde Street. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said officers are currently searching for the suspect, who is reported to have been part of a small group of young people who fled following the attack.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said:

The boy went to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening. He is believed to be under 16 and his next of kin are aware.

Teenage boy stabbed in city centre

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Bristol city centre. Police officers were called to the scene, at Cabot Circus, at around 7.40pm tonight.

Uniformed officers are still searching for the suspect, a spokesperson for the force said.
