A road has been closed due to an ongoing police incident. A North Wales Police statement this morning said Gate Road between Froncysyllte and Trevor, has been shut.
Police have urged people to avoid the area “for the time being”.

Road confirmed reopened
The Inrix traffic monitoring system is now confirming the road has reopened.
Gate Road in both directions re-opened, police incident over from the Aqueduct Inn (Froncysyllte) to The Telford Inn (Trevor).
There are still no further details what has happened. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything.

Location of the incident
The incident happened on Gate Road between the Aqueduct Inn (pictured on the left) and the Telford Inn in Trevor, further down the road. North Wales Police has reporrted the road has reopened. The Inrix traffic monitoring service, is still reporting the road is closed. We’ll try and clarify this and bring you any further information on the incident.
