A major West London road is closed this morning after a man died in the early hours. The death happened at around 1am on Western Avenue, in Greenford.
Traffic and travel website Inrix reports that the A40 heading into London is closed due to the investigation work. It has led to traffic jams from Target roundabout in Northolt, Ealing to the Greenford Flyover in Greenford.
Inrix hasn’t mentioned any London buses being left on diversion. An LAS spokesperson said: “We were called today (November 30) at 12:59am to reports of an incident on Western Avenue, Greenford. We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an incident response officer, an ambulance crew, and a medic in a fast-response car.
“We treated a man at the scene, but sadly, he was later pronounced dead.”
The Met Police has been contacted for comment.
