Trains in Devon have been stopped this evening because of an emergency incident. According to National Rail, the incident happened between Exeter St Davids and Taunton at around 6.45pm.
The nature of the incident is currently unclear. National Rail said: “Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Exeter St Davids and Taunton all lines are currently closed. As a result. trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
“Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”
Great Western Railway and CrossCountry services have been affected by the incident.
