A cordon remains in place at one of Radcliffe’s main junctions tonight after what is believed to be a serious collision.
Water Street has been taped off at the junction with Ainsworth Road in the Bury town following the incident earlier this evening (Thursday, November 2).

The Manchester Evening News has been told it is a serious collision. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are yet to confirm any details regarding the incident. The force has been approached for comment.
There are three cars and a van visible inside the cordon, along with some clothing, though it is not yet known how many vehicles were involved.
An air ambulance response unit was spotted at the scene earlier tonight.
Currently, Water Street is closed to traffic from the junction with Spring Lane to Ainsworth Road. Traffic is being turned around at both ends.

There is then tape stopping pedestrians entering the area from Knowles Street to Ainsworth Road.
The ambulance vehicle has now left the scene. At the time of writing, there were two police cars at the scene with officers standing guard at either end.
Other officers can be seen carrying out enquiries inside the cordon, shining torches and looking underneath vehicles.
