Kelvin MacKenzie rages at guest who claims Israel is guilty of TERRORISM: ‘Absolute shocker!’

A fiery debate broke out on GB News when Novara Media’s Michael Walker claimed it is not fair to call Hamas terrorists, unless we are willing to do the same for the Israeli Government.

The left wing commentator was met with animosity as former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie and GB News presenter Michelle Dewberry rushed to challenge his comments.

Questioned by Michelle Dewberry over whether Hamas should be classed as a terror organisation, Walker said “no”, unless we do the same for the Israeli government.

“At the moment, Hamas is proscribed as a terror organisation by the UK Government”, Dewberry said.

She asked Walker: “Do you share that view?”

“Only if we apply the same term to the Israeli government. I know that will be controversial”, he said.

A fuming Kelvin MacKenzie interjected, labelling his comments “shocking”.

Walker went on to explain: “There are extremists on both sides. Very violent people on both sides.”

Dewberry went on to accuse Walker of “whataboutery”, before asking: “The Government in this country describe Hamas as a terrorist organisation. A lot of people would categorically agree with that. Do you agree?”

Walker responded: “No. Unless we also call the Israel Government terrorists. We can’t call one side terrorists and the other side a legitimate state.

“I don’t care if we call them a terrorist organisation or not, I care about how we define them relative to the other side in the conflict.”

MacKenzie responded: “The other side being a democratic state being forced into this conflict.”

He continued by delivering a fiery rant, accusing Walker of being an “apologist for the most shocking crime”.

“The people of Israel would do anything today, yesterday to know they had secure borders”, he said.

“The trouble is, you’re an apologist for the most shocking crime.”

Walker responded by clarifying that the Hamas terror attack on 7 October was “horrendous”.

He earlier told Michelle Dewberry that he would class the attack as “terror”, despite appearing reluctant to brand Hamas a terrorist faction.

MacKenzie continued by saying: “Why should the Jews not be allowed to be in the Middle East? That’s what Hamas are saying, ‘we would like to see Jews driven out of the Middle East’.

“It is the most upsetting argument of yours, Michael. Accusing Israel of being terrorists.

“It is a shocker, an absolute shocker.”

The October 7 invasion from Hamas terrorists into Israel saw the deaths of around 1,500 Israelis and has prompted bloody warfare since.

Israel has responded by raining bombs down on the Gaza enclave in a bid to flush out Hamas terrorists.
