Katy Perry tried to keep a low-profile on Thursday — hours after her shocking arrival at the 2024 Billboard Women In Music event.
The singer, 39, was photographed outside of a skincare salon in swanky Beverly Hills.
She looked makeup-free as she emerged from the building with the hood of her gray sweatshirt pulled up over her head and her sunglasses on.
Perry juggled an iced coffee, her iPhone and a white baseball cap in one hand.
Instead of heels, the Teenage Dream hitmaker sported brown Birkenstock sandals.
She drove herself to the location in her black Porsche.
Last night, Perry stunned fans at the Billboard Women In Music event in Los Angeles when she flashed her thong underwear on the red carpet.
She posed up in a sexy red look that laced-up the back and gave fans a clear view of her black G-string.
There was also a bizarre butterfly-shaped decal situated on her lower back that was meant to look like skin.
Perry winked at shutterbugs and smiled through scarlet-colored lips during her red carpet stint.
Her black hair was styled in a sleek ponytail and her blunt bangs were swept to the side.
She was joined by the likes of fellow hitmakers Ice Spice, Victoria Monet and Ellie Goulding at the annual soiree held at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California on Wednesday night.
The 2024 ceremony was hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and will be available to stream on Billboard starting Thursday.
According to Billboard, the Women In Music honorees each ‘demonstrate the degree to which music has become a global enterprise.’
Colombian hitmaker Karol G was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year while Victoria Monet was this year’s Rising Star award recipient.
Pop goddess Kylie Minogue received the coveted Icon Award.
After the ceremony wrapped, Perry was photographed heading to the after-party with her longtime BFF Marsha Molinari.
The soiree was held at Delilah, a trendy nightclub and restaurant situated in the heart of West Hollywood.
Hours later, the fiancee of Orlando Bloom took to Instagram to share some close-up shots of her daring red carpet look.
Referencing the tattoo in her caption, alongside the series of sexy snaps, she wrote: ‘you’re my butterfly, sugar, baby’.
The caption was a quote from Crazy Town’s 1999 hit Butterfly.
Last month, Perry paid an emotional tribute to her former manager and ‘father’ figure Martin Kirkup after it was revealed he had died at the age of 75.
Taking to Instagram, the star explained she wanted to ‘respectfully take a moment’ to speak about ‘how special [Kirkup] was and is’ to her.
However, the Grammy nominee also revealed how she believed she has subsequently received a ‘spiritual’ message from the late music executive, and could ‘hear’ him through signs that were beyond coincidental.
Following news of his passing, Perry said she has found comfort in seeing her favorite number, 143, in random places.
‘It’s been a number I have seen many times since the birth of my daughter, Daisy. It’s come to me in some of my hardest times to comfort me and is a constant confirmation that whatever I’m doing or path I’m on is the right one to be on.
One day after Kirkup died, Perry said she saw 143s ‘everywhere.’
‘The receipt in the morning was 143, the length of the movie we watched was 143, and to top it off, the one person that came up to me to ask for a picture introduced himself as Martin. What a coincidence, eh?’ she mused.
Perry went on to write that she believes ‘angels and loved ones always want to talk with us… if we are willing to listen.’
‘The signs are all around, we just gotta be open to them,’ she declared. ‘So, I’m gonna stay open and never forget the love, dedication and protection he gave me all these years. What an honor it was to have Martin Kirkup on my team.’
She concluded: ‘I hear you Martin, and 143 back at you.’
Perry began her lengthy post, writing ‘It’s taken me a little while to make this post…something about posting it makes it all feel, final… and even though Martin wasn’t particularly fond of social media and its sensationalism.’
As she spoke about her grief, the mother-of-one explained that she doesn’t believe anyone dies, but that they ‘simply move on to the next dimension.’
‘They aren’t here anymore, but are now EVERYWHERE ✨,’ Perry wrote.
She went on to recall the dynamics of their professional relationship and how she saw him as one of her ‘protectors.’
‘He was vigilant about getting me what I deserved and celebrated the headstrong female I am,’ she raved. ‘I have been so fortunate to have an INCREDIBLE team by my side for almost 20 years, before I had (as my father from Memphis would say) a pot to pee in or a window to throw it from!’
She noted he was one of her managers at Direct Management for almost 20 years and described him as the ‘bulldog’ of her team.
‘Martin and I got to climb so many wonderful professional mountains and have thoroughly enjoyed the views together – traveling, tasting, learning, celebrating, leaning into the fullness and beauty of life. Martin left this dimension with no stones unturned!’ the Roar hitmaker gushed.
Three days prior to his death, Perry said she shared some of her new, unreleased music with him.
‘I could tell he was excited for the future, and I was so glad I had that last moment to make him proud in my own little way,’ the the fiancée of Orlando Bloom stated.
Perry concluded: ‘We didn’t get to physically say goodbye, but I know he knows how much respect and admiration I have for him, and his hearty chuckles and wicked retorts continue to echo through my mind.’
Her caption was shared alongside a number of photos of them taken together over various milestones in her career.
At this time, a cause of death for Kirkup has not been released.
