Katie Price says ITV ‘could sway’ I’m a Celeb vote as she wades into Nigel Farage airtime row

Katie Price said ITV’s editing could play a pivotal role in who becomes the eventual I’m a Celeb winner.

The two-time contestant spoke on GB News about claims the broadcaster have purposefully not included some of Farage’s best jungle moments in the final edit.

“I’ve met Nigel a few times. He has interviewed me. I like Nigel. I stay out of the politics side, but as a person, I have no problem.

“What people have got to remember, when you’re in that jungle, it shouldn’t matter what you do as a living.

“You’re all in it together, surviving. I think it is a way to get to know a person. He is a human being at the end of the day, and everyone deserves a chance.”

The channel reportedly paid £1.5million for Farage to head down under before he became embroiled in feisty discussions with campmates Fred Sirieix and Nella Rose in separate incidents.

Despite the political discussions being among this year’s highlights, GB News reporter Ben Leo claimed an unmissable chat about Donald Trump was left out of one of the shows.

The claim sparked an airtime row which prompted ITV to vehemently defend their editing process.

A spokesperson told GB News: “We are a 60-75 minute Entertainment show and the content featured is a fair and accurate representation of life in camp.”

Despite the apparent axing, Price told GB News she is still backing Farage to make this year’s final.

“He is in there and he is smiling. If he was hated that much he would have been out first”, she said.

“People obviously like watching him. Why not support him? I like Nigel and I will back him all the way.

“I think the three finalists could be Nigel, Josie and Sam.”

Asked whether she would consider a third stint in the jungle, Price admitted that she would “never” be able to turn down such an offer.

“Third time lucky”, she told Richard Tice.

“It’s such a unique experience. I would never turn that show down, I think it is amazing.”
