Kate Middleton has a new nephew after her younger brother James and his wife Alizee Thevenet welcomed a son a few weeks ago.
The brother of the Princess of Wales, 36, revealed his little boy Inigo was born a few weeks ago in an adorable Instagram post after he and his wife were spotted out and about with a pram for the first time yesterday.
Sharing a photo of Inigo’s tiny hand ‘holding’ a badge containing an emblem of his late beloved dog Ella, and another photo of the tiny baby in his cot while James’s other dogs watched over him, the new father praised the NHS for looking after both Alizee and the newborn at Basingstoke Hospital, where he was born.
He also revealed he has already taught little Inigo about Ella, who passed away in January of this year leaving James heartbroken.
Although he did not reveal Inigo’s exact birthday, he said the little one has been in his life for ‘just a few weeks’.
In a heartfelt announcement on Instagram, James wrote: He has been in our lives for just a few weeks but they have been the most special of my life getting to know our beautiful baby boy.
‘No matter how prepared I thought I was…I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion of meeting Inigo for the first time and the love for my darling Alizée as we became three.
‘We have settled into our new life as parents and I’ve told him all about Ella and that if it wasn’t for her he wouldn’t be here today and that we miss her greatly.
‘The dogs have been fantastic at welcoming their little brother into the pack (although Inka needs to know the teddybears are not all for her…)
‘We would like to thank the wonderful team at Basingstoke hospital, from the very first scan to walking out the front door for the first time as three, we couldn’t have felt more supported and looked after throughout so thank you NHS.’
