Joe Jonas previously slated his estranged wife Sophie Turner for passionately kissing British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson in public – but the singer has seemingly done a U-turn, and is now fully ‘supportive’ of her decisions.
The Game of Thrones actress, 27, appeared to confirm her romance with the media empire heir after they were pictured kissing in public for a second time during a nighttime stroll in London on Thursday.
Joe, 34, was initially displeased when is former wife – with who he shares two daughters – was photographed making out with 29-year-old Peregrine in Paris in October, with sources close to the star claiming he felt it was ‘too soon’ after they filed for divorce.
But after an apparent change of heart, an insider told DailyMail.com: ‘Joe supports whatever choices she makes and if she is happy, he is happy. He loves his girls and his time with them and about to wrap up [the Jonas Brothers] tour tomorrow night in Brooklyn.’
They added that Joe and Sophie are now on ‘good terms,’ just three months after their bitter breakup and custody battle was made public.
‘He is doing great,’ the source said. ‘The two of them have come to a place of mutual understanding and they will always have love for each other.’
Sophie and Peregrine were first spotted kissing in the French capital during the World Cup in October, just two months after she confirmed her separation from Joe.
At the time, a source for the singer told DailyMail.com: ‘What is important for Joe is the well-being of his kids and finishing the tour he is on with his brothers.
‘He would be happy to find love again and do all of that, but that is not even close to what is on the top of his mind as he wants to get on with the divorce and get on with his life.
‘And if Sophie wants to galivant and kiss whomever in public, he doesn’t really want to play those games.’
The source continued: ‘Joe feels that having his priorities in check and focusing on what is now and what is important is the way to move forward, and that is his obligation to his family and work.
‘Granted it feels a little too soon, he has no control over what she does and can only try to figure out the best co-parenting agenda for them both.
‘If she is doing this to hurt him, she is not going to hurt him any more than she already has, he will get through it with his chin up.’
The new couple appeared to confirm their relationship this week when they packed on the PDA once again.
They struggled to keep their hands off each other, stopping on several occasions for hugs and kisses.
Sophie was wrapped up in a grey hoodie, a black coat and a green beanie hat, while Peregrine kept warm in a fur-trim coat and a woolly scarf and hat.
The actress’ new love interest is the eldest son and heir of Michael Pearson, the 4th Viscount Cowdray – a former film producer who owns a significant chunk of the Pearson media empire.
While Sophie is said to be worth a whopping $10million, this pales in comparison to Peregrine’s family fortune, which is thought to be in excess of £224 million ($273 million).
Joe filed for divorce from Sophie in September after four years of marriage.
The actress, who was living with their two daughters Willa, three, and Delphine, one, at Taylor Swift’s apartment in New York at the time, claimed to have discovered through the media that Joe was filing for divorce – and accused him of refusing to hand over their children’s passports.
The pair reached a temporary custody agreement in October which they announced in a joint statement.
‘After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK,’ they said.
‘We look forward to being great co-parents.’
DailyMail.com previously obtained court documents revealing that the new custody arrangement will grant each parent two weeks at a time with their daughters and will allow the girls to travel back and forth between the US and UK, where Sophie is from.
While Jonas will get to take the girls on tour with his band The Jonas Brothers, Turner will get to spend Christmas with them in the UK with her family.
Peregrine previously dated King Charles’s goddaughter, Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece, a 27-year-old model.
However, it emerged in September that they had gone their separate ways after ‘growing apart.’
