Passengers landing on a Jet2 flight into Northern Ireland on Monday afternoon faced a delay leaving their plane after reports of a customer showing possible chicken pox symptoms.
Flight LS302 from Benidorm landed at Belfast International Airport just after 2pm this afternoon but those on board faced a delay of over an hour before they could leave the aircraft due to the health scare.
The airline has confirmed the incident and issued an apology to the travellers affected by the delay.

One man who had family members on the flight told us: “The flight landed at 2.06pm but everyone on board was delayed over one hour while the crew waited for port authority officials to arrive.”
In a statement to Belfast Live, a spokesperson for Jet2 said: “We can confirm that Port Health officials boarded flight LS302 earlier today after reports of a customer showing possible chicken pox symptoms.
“Customers have now departed the aircraft after a short delay, and we apologise for any inconvenience.”
